    The School of Architecture commissioned the construction of a single storey flat roof building which is elevated to first floor level by way of in situ concrete columns and a podium slab. The building is of simple steel and timber framed construction with a glazed corridor link to the existing Marlowe building.

The two storey extension links the existing Victorian building with a previous extension, creating an external reading area and sunken amphitheatre. There is also a Hearing Impaired Unit, canteen and hall. There is also an extension to the existing Surestart Centre.

Construction of a new vertical circulation core and glazed link together with a central hub / café / performance space and ground floor workshop.
